What to Expect During Your Reiki Session
Your Reiki session begins with a brief conversation with our Reiki Master to review what to expect and clarify your intention for the visit. This intention helps guide and personalize the experience. We then begin the session using a sound bowl to encourage deep relaxation and help settle the nervous system.
During the session, you may notice physical sensations, emotional shifts, or visual experiences such as colors or imagery—though each experience is unique and can vary from person to person and visit to visit.
Afterward, we’ll take time to reflect on how you felt and discuss any insights or messages that arose during the session. We’ll also provide gentle recommendations to support integration and well-being following your Reiki experience.

What is Reiki and how does it work?

Is Reiki a religion or spiritual belief system?
No, Reiki is not a religion or tied to any specific belief system. It can be a spiritual practice that allows you to connect with the universal energy. People of all backgrounds and faiths (or none) can receive Reiki, as you do not need to believe in anything specific to benefit from it. However, you do need to be open to receiving Reiki for the best outcomes.
What can I expect during a Reiki session?
During your session, you’ll relax comfortably on a treatment table while the practitioner gently places their hands on or above areas of the body associated with the chakras (energy centers). A sound bowl is used at the beginning and end of the session to promote relaxation.
Many people experience deep relaxation, warmth, tingling, emotional release, or even fall asleep. Some may notice colors or imagery. Each Reiki experience is unique, and even if sensations are subtle, the energetic benefits continue to unfold in the days and weeks following your session.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, staying well hydrated, and having a light meal before your visit.
